Let’s start off by addressing the fact that I have opted for the more positive word, Fertility rather than Infertility. Unless you can categorically be assured that you are routinely having unprotected sex, at the right time of the month, every month for a year then you are not necessarily infertile. It might just ‘not have happened yet’. ‘Infertile’, sounds like such a damning word, where ‘hasn’t happened yet’ allows for cautious but warranted hope. Reflexology at Cherrybank Treatment Room along with our knowledge around fertility and conception can help you and your partner conceive.

For those who have been trying, and haven’t yet conceived… You’ve heard this before, but for the people in the back… YOU ARE NOT ALONE. No, that doesn’t make you feel any better. No, that doesn’t make you feel less alone. And no, that doesn’t answer why it hasn’t happened yet. But incase you aren’t aware of the statistics, 1 in 6 couples struggle to conceive within a year of trying. Just because your friends didn’t mention that it took them longer than intended to conceive, doesn’t mean that that wasn’t the case.

Reflexology is often a desirable form of treatment because it’s very natural, but can also be received as a complimentary treatment, if you are or are planning on going down the route of medicated cycles, IVF, ICSI etc. Also… it’s very relaxing.

Struggling to conceive can happen for many reasons, maybe you aren’t having sex at the right time of the month, maybe you’re not sure when you’re ovulating, maybe your body is in a hormonal imbalance. We can help identify possible reasons, without creating unrealistic boundaries, we won’t ask you to completely flip your current lifestyle which sometimes can cause an additional stress on the mind and body.

Over the next few months, I hope to use these posts to help inform and reassure couples. If you ever want any advice, or to ask any questions please DM me without any obligation to book an appointment. If you would like to try reflexology, why not book in and see for yourself.
